There is a food photography contest that is bringing awareness to a sharing garden project. A group of local residents have obtained some land and have begun to plant fruits and vegetables. Offers a great way for low-income families to have access to wholesome and fresh food. The photography contest details are at sharinggarden.com

I hardly know what to say to that except to echo your 'huh?! That is confusing - I wonder if those in charge of the RBC Painting competition would object if an artist used watercolor or acrylic water washes on canvas. There's not that much difference between the two and they are both water media.
Are they only accepting paintings on canvas not paper then? Or could it be the person you were speaking to made a mistake and is not familiar with different fine art media? I guess it will take a thorough reading of their rules and maybe a phone call if one's art work doesn't fit neatly in the 'painting' box (or even if it does?). Thanks for passing on the information though Tracy. The deadline for this one is nearly upon us.

A note to watercolor painters: The RBC Painting Competition is not open to watercolor paintings. As I was told by a representative, "It's a painting competition, not a watercolor competition." huh

I looked up your site to follow up and thank you, as I won your door prize at the last WBN meeting. I think I almost met you at the door prize table before things started :-) I'm glad I followed up....I really enjoyed reading what you have here, especially regarding computers. If you would ever like some suggestions for free anti-virus and malware protection programs, I would be happy to supply you with my favorites.
